WHO IS FARYN HUGHES?

As a child, Faryn never minded bedtime because it meant reading stories, a time to be whisked away and enchanted by worlds created in the pages. She decided early on to pursue illustration, with the aspiration to create that same wonder for new generations. Faryn specializes in ethereal watercolor and digital works inspired by nature, animal wildlife, and fairytales. Her focus is creating symbolic works of art and immersive atmospheres, channeling the books she loved as a child.

She cares deeply about animal rescue, care, and conservation. With the belief that we are inseparably linked to the natural world and must use our knowledge to protect it, Faryn's inspiration comes from the endless harmony and profound peace found in nature.

Faryn has illustrated book covers and over twenty children's books. She currently resides in chilly St. Paul, Minnesota with her very fluffy Himalayan cat. In her spare time, she can be found with a mug of tea, surrounded by plants, capturing the natural world in a soothing, dream-like state, like a comforting memory.
