Faryn Hughes is a freelance illustrator who specializes is ethereal watercolor works inspired by nature scenes, animal wildlife, and storybooks. She has a passion for visual storytelling and illustration that creates an immersive atmosphere. Her previous projects have been for children's books, cover art, editorial illustration, and storyboards. Faryn has illustrated multiple published children’s books and has worked for national editorial clients such as The New York Times and Random House Publishing.
Faryn graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in studio art and illustration.
She currently resides in Saint Paul, Minnesota with her two very fluffy cats, Cash and Finnegan. In her spare time, Faryn can be found with a mug of tea, enjoying fantasy movies, Florence + the Machine songs, and working on personal projects that are intended to create some calm and moments of refuge in our fast paced world.
